How to Improve Your Piece Coordination

Today I’ll start with a quote from the legendary American player Paul Charles Morphy.

Morphy, born back in 1837 and considered the best player in the world at hist peak, was a ferocious attacking player. He was also a quick player, the kind of player who knew immediately where to place his pieces on the best possible squares.

Don’t you often hear strong players say "this move feels right" when suggesting a move they cannot explain why they believe is the best?

That’s because their piece coordination is top-notch. Knowing how to use your pieces together is key to improving your positional understanding.
