Chess Openings for Black - Facing the London System
- Panda Chess
Let me remind you that there are only 48 hours left before my offer on my "Chess Openings – Complete Repertoire for Black" course expires.
This course will teach you a full opening repertoire as Black against any starting move that White can play.
This course includes practical activities in every section to make sure that you'll test your new knowledge. I’ll provide you with all the games and variations that I’ll analyze so that you can download them and keep them, both in PDF and PGN format.

My Complete Opening Repertoire will definitely cover how to play against the Queen’s Pawn Opening (1.d4) and our main idea will be to play the King’s Indian Defense (1…Nf6, followed by 3…Bg7 and 4…d6) if White goes for the main lines.
But White has several ways to avoid those main lines, that can lead to sharp variations with good winning chances for both sides.
One of them is to play the London System, where White’s main idea is to play the bishop to f4 and the pawns to e3 and c3.
However, White has many other options (within the London System), like placing a knight on c3 (what we call the Jobava London System).

Even though the London System should not be particularly dangerous and I recently publish some traps to face it, some lines can get a bit tricky so here I’ll cover all the main lines and ideas to face it.
